In Qatar, we continued to work with the Qatar Football Association (QFA) to contribute to building a healthy society, bringing people together, and fostering understanding between different cultures.
Globally, by teaming up with leading global actors, NGOs and football for good organisations like the IFRC, CONCACAF, Right To Play and Mercy Corps, together with our founding organisation the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy, we aim to support ongoing football for development programmes.
By inspiring a generation of young Qataris, residents, and youth advocates, we aspire to be a generation of active development instigators well beyond the FIFA World Cup™. We develop social and life skills through our GA educational football for development workshops and sessions, with opportunities for our advocates to excel in their objectives, gain local and international exposure, and convey GA values to youths both locally and internationally. We collaborate with role models and football legends who carry our objectives forward, interacting with us throughout our journey to propagate our football for good philosophy.
The FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ aimed to showcase Qatar's unique identity, giving the country an opportunity to use football to unite people in a celebration of the sport and our region.
As a human and social legacy programme initiated alongside this monumental football event, we aim to connect people even beyond the tournament. Our programme has benefitted over 75 countries and 1 million direct and indirect beneficiaries – from Qatar to India, Rwanda, Haiti, and beyond. As the programme continues to evolve, we strive to inspire and accelerate social development, adding to the legacy of the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar™.
