    Cafu

    Former Brazil captain and two-time FIFA World Cup™ winner Cafu, helped deliver a special Generation Amazing session to underprivileged youth from Sao Paulo’s Eprocad Foundation in 2019 on the sidelines of Qatar´s participation at Copa America 2019. In the same year, he attended the FIFA Legends Day at our inaugural Generation Amazing Festival 2019, where he played a game of football with fellow FIFA Legends and our inspiring international youth advocates. Today he continues to be a strong advocate for our programme and the life skills we teach through football.

    Mohammed Saadon Al Kuwari

    Journalist and beIN SPORTS presenter Mohammed Saadon Al Kuwari regularly attends GA activities, and in 2017 he participated in our Doha Learning Days football for development sessions in Qatar, encouraging youth to take part in our activities. In 2019 Al Kuwari moderated the Generation Amazing panel between GA, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) and streetfootballworld at WISE 2019 on the topic of “Football as an Educational Tool.”

    Former Cameroon international star Samuel Eto’o earned 118 international caps – including appearances at four FIFA World Cups™ between 1998 and 2014 led our “What has Football Taught You?” social media campaign to get youth thinking about all the positive learning outcomes that football can inspire, giving away signed GA gear to those who got involved.

    Tim Cahill

    An AFC Asian Cup winner in 2015, Tim Cahill, represented Australia at four FIFA World Cup™ finals and was the first Australian man to score at the tournament. In February 2020, Cahill was announced as a Generation Amazing ambassador and led a football for development session with local school children in Doha, where he gifted his children’s book Tiny Timmy to the kids.

    Xavier Hernández

    Former F.C. Barcelona and Spain football legend and current manager of Qatar Stars League football club Al Sadd, Xavier Hernández, visited Mumbai with Generation Amazing in 2019 to inaugurate a pitch construction and meet with our youth in India. The trip was one that inspired the community, including 16-year-old aspiring footballer Umesh Rathod, a participant in the programme who was inspired by the words of encouragement from the legendary player. The pitch was later completed as one of over 30 pitches built or refurbished for communities in need of sporting infrastructure.
